Started by Fred Weaver, The Great Weaver Pumpkin Growing Contest is a fun, competitive and family friendly event that culminates in the Pumpkin Celebration to announce and reward the winner.  The winner being the participant with the biggest pumpkin by weight.  It is open to all members of the Weaver family and others, too, with pre-approval.
